ABOUT
beyond light
My interest in photography began aged five, when my mother taught me to shoot with her Praktica, a 35mm single lens reflex camera.
Art and photography have always played a great role in my every day life. My experiences and work range from drawing and etching to working with stone and metal. At the Akademie Remscheid Germany, I studied art pedagogy and education, and specialised in sculpture to explore the three dimensions.
After purchasing an old 35mm Leica M6, I was soon addicted to revealing more than can be immediately seen: grace, drama, loneliness, humour, pathos and surprise.
Story telling and street photography became my passion; a love of witnessing and capturing a moment as it unfolds in front of you, and going beyond what might be visible.
That is what I call beyond light.
